The Hollow Grail

A Vernissage, a museum can be a lethal place. Conversation can actually turn to art. Guard your tongue: ignorance can lead to social death. As postmodern art is decidedly inaccessable, don't even consider cracking its genome. However, this attitude lets art too easily off the hook. In a time of crisis, when sense and sensibility are rare, what a void for the arts to tab in. Finally, art could come of its aestetic niche and be relevant again! More to flesh out than body juices, more to desbribe than the transparency of a glass window, more to worry than "me" versus "them". Conceptual art dares to be political gain, critical again. But guess what- to make a statement needs more than an diffuse feeling that things go wrong. It's bone-chilling to see how pathetic and hollow art can be when it finally dares to escape the cryptical, leaves the irony behind. The world needs more than a hug!
